For their fourth album for Aparte, Julie Cherrier-Hoffmann and Frederic Chaslin, after presenting cycles of creations ('Chansons pour Elle', 'Rendez-vous' with Pierre Arditi and Lucienne Renaudin Vary, 'la Voix Humaine' and 'Fiancailles pour rire' in an orchestration by Frederic Chaslin with the Orchestra of La Fenice in Venice), are meeting this time around the masterpieces of French 'melodie'. Frederic Chaslin, a big name on the international opera scene, composer and pianist, gives Julie Cherrier-Hoffmann the full range of his instrument to offer us a selection of pieces found in the repertoire of the great composers ('Apres un reve', 'Le Temps des lilas', 'L'Invitation au voyage') and rarities, with Debussy's Romance and Alfred Bachelet's 'Chere Nuit'.
