從美索不達米亞到安達魯西亞的流亡者
魯桑.菲利茲泰克 演唱/土耳其奧德琴/鍵盤

Rusan Filiztek is a singer, musicologist and plays the saz, the long-necked lute of Asia Minor. He has traveled extensively through music, from his native Anatolia to the Istanbul of his adolescence, then to Iraq and Syria whose music he explored, before arriving in Europe via Andalusia and taking the road to Paris. For his album Exils, he is joined by flamenco guitarist François Aria, percussionist Juan Manuel Cortes, Celtic flautist Sylvain Barou, Armenian duduk player Artyom Minasyan, violist Marie-Suzanne de Loye, Greek singer Dafne Kritharas, the flamenca singer Cecile Evrot, the jazz bassists Leila Soldevila and Emrah Kaptan. A beautifully presented CD-Book in the inimitable Accords Croises style.

They all live in Paris, embodying the double meaning of the word surgun in Turkish, which means both exile and the shoot, the cutting that is planted in new soil. Like Rusan, their exile rooted them elsewhere. This album could only have  been made where all these musicians are gathered because Exils deploys a weaving of friendships and complicity which goes beyond the contours of what we usually call a group. And, through these friendships, Ruşan passes through the doors left open from one culture to another, across the bridges visible only to those who listen.
