For her new album, Ophelie Gaillard takes her cello to Argentina! She travels to the birthplace of tango and Piazzolla, of the nueva cancion, but also of the traditional sounds of Andean music and the chacarera, which she explores with the usual curiosity of her travelling cello. Surrounded by some of the leading figures in the genre who have marked her artistic career, including bandoneonists Juanjo Mosalini and William Sabatier, guitarist Tomas Bordalejo and the voices of Nahuel di Pierro and Ines Cuello, Ophelie Gaillard invites you to discover her favourites, from revisited hits like 'Volver' and 'La cumparsita' (Some Like it Hot) to the poetic treasures of 'Punena' and 'Cancion al arbol del olvido', in a raw, authentic journey guided by passion and uncompromising freedom.
