貝拉.舒茨 鋼琴
Hailed as 'the next generation of French pianists', Bella Schutz has chosen Bach and Chopin for her first recording. The young Bach of the Toccatas and the Chromatic Fantasy, and the mature Chopin, with the Nocturnes, the Fantasy and the Barcarolle - a singular association, in which the divergences all the more emphasise the meeting points of the two composers' imaginations.
Rather than looking at these pieces from a historical perspective, Bella Schutz invites us to consider them as absolute works, evolving beyond classification, beyond category, so as to appreciate all the more what links them: fantasy and improvisation, encapsulated in a virtuosity that is never gratuitous and in which light and darkness converse ceaselessly.
