"Chamber music of Schubert revisited by Luigi Piovano and Strings Accademia di Santa Cecilia. Recently appointed chief conductor of the strings orchestra of the Accademia di Santa Cecilia , Luigi Piovano has put together a great program for their first album . He himself made an adaptation of the famous Sonata "" Arpeggione "" by Franz Schubert, brilliantly assuming the role of a cello piccolo solo 5-string to get as close as possible to arpeggione and allow execution in the original octaves. The presence of the orchestra gives a new dimension to the work and seems so natural that we come to doubt that it was otherwise. The quartet "" The Girl and Death "" is interpreting here the version of Gustav Mahler in 1896 . The strength of the orchestral ensemble is even more overwhelming than the quartet , even devastating ! Adding bass musical canvas gives the work a deeper and more dramatic , obscuring colors and bearing the feelings and emotion to firmament"
