Reconstructing the musical entertainment which took place in the Neapolitan palaces is very difficult, since we do not have
detailed accounts.

On the one hand, we can rely upon the literature that proudly mentions the unmistakable dedicatee; on the other, it is often
challenging to ascertain the paternity of the numerous volumes of miscellanea kept all over the world, which originally
belonged to the libraries of noble families and that testify to the musical activities in their homes.
