Through a selection of emblematic works and lesser-known pieces, pianist Sylviane Deferne explores the duality at the heart of Schumann's music – at times radiant, at times tormented.

From the youthful energy of the Abegg Variations to the final compositions (Gesange der Fruhe), Schumann's music traces a path along a fragile ridge.

'Zwielicht' maps the composer's inner landscapes, capturing each shift in light, and invites us to listen to these pages as one watches a changing sky — between fragile clarity and moving shadows.
