布拉姆斯: 第3號鋼琴奏鳴曲/歌曲改編集
安德烈.戈洛甘 鋼琴
In Brahms's music, poetry runs deep, shaping and nourishing the very act of creation. Pianist Andrei Gologan — a protege of Schiff, supported by Barenboim and Goode — places this poetic impulse at the heart of his debut album, entirely devoted to the composer.
He brings together the monumental Third Sonata, whose Andante draw from the verses of Sternau (Twilight is falling, moonlight shines, there two hearts are united in love and keep themselves enclosed in bliss), and a selection of lieder transcribed for solo piano by Max Reger with exquisite refinement.
What emerges is a subtle portrait of a singular composer — caught between two forces, at once visionary and rooted in the German musical tradition. With this programme, Andrei Gologan highlights the delicate interplay that lies at the core of Brahms's richly expressive world.
