"People have stars that are not the same. For some, who travel, the stars are guides. For others they are nothing but small lights. For others, who are learned, they are problems. For my businessman they were gold. But all those stars are silent. You will have stars like nobody has ... [...] You will have, you, stars that can laugh! "
the Little Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupery
If the works engraved here owe their existence to the stars, the development itself of this disc is a great appointment of stars. Maybe we can hear them laugh about being able to travel between neighboring galaxies ...
Our wonderful experience of playing in concerts the complete quartet of Beethoven, our bright encounter with Philippe Hersant we have the honor to present the first recording of his fourth quartet, our very rewarding residence at the Queen Elizabeth Music Chapel of Belgium, and this precious complicity that was quickly established with the luthier Charles Coquet, leading us to play on a quartet of instruments ... These are all these living and striking realities of a moment in our life as quartet players that we wanted to bring together in the same story.
It should be noted that the purpose of this recording is not to freeze shooting stars ... It seemed important to us, in life, to take the time to look up, because it is starry skies that we can not fail to contemplate and thank.
